Personal Statement: Reflecting on the past four years, I can honestly say they have flown by. I feel grateful for the amazing teachers and friends that have touched my life. I have made some of my closest friends not only in the classroom but also on soccer fields, tennis courts and in various club and organizational activities. Most memorable were the bus trips to Tennis matches and to Science Olympiad competitions. Shared experiences with my peers over the years and friendships that will endure past graduation have and will continue to shape who I am. Learning from
teachers who really care about their students is a rare privilege, but the opportunity to do so for four years is the gift of a lifetime. I would like to thank, in particular, Mr. Meyer for the impact he has had on my high school career. He has supported me throughout the high school years, and helped me discover the confidence I sometimes lacked in myself. Mr. Meyer truly cares about his students, and always makes time for them. I aspire to be as dedicated to my work and as willing to mentor and support others as he is. The experiences I have had in high school have made me who I am today. I will be a better member of my college community as a result of the Clarence experience, and if college is even half as exciting and welcoming as Clarence High School has been, I am sure I will love it. Onwards and upwards Class of 2017!
